Wayne - 204hp SC Pistons & Barrels in Carrera 3.0?

Hi Wayne,

I've moved this post from Tech Forum (should have been here in the first place I know).

As mentioned in a
P=previous thread, I'm about to replace the pistons and barrels in my engine and was hoping to upgrade to the later 204hp SC high compression units to boost performance.

I have been told that I can do this without making any other modifications to the engine. Can you please confirm that this is the case? My main concern would be the cams, which I understand are different to those fitted to the SC. Also do you think this would have longevity issues for the engine?

Yes, the Euro pistons can be used instead with no mods...

Was concerned that there may have been changes required to the cams, timing chains, CIS or ignition.
