yeah, I did notice that. Looks like Mahle forged to me, which is indeed unusual for a CIS piston. Betcha Henry Schmidt could identify it!

The 2.7 CIS 8.5:1 CR pistons pictured (the two in the center) are mine. They infact do have the half skirts and they were made by Mahle and are in Alusil cylinders. I hope that that clarifies some stuff for some. Could the other one be motronic? Aren't those the ones that look like the CIS? -Mike
