Hi all:
Just thought I'd share a few pictures of an 2.7 RS MFI motor that I'm rebuilding for a friend. The motor came to me already set-up in RS spec form with real RS pump, S cams, and throttle bodies. The really interesting thing about this motor is that the intake ports are huge at 40mm. The exhaust ports are 35mm. I probably should have made a mold of these ports to replicate them on future rebuilds. The PO of the motor just loved the engine. Seems he still longs for this 2.7 even though he installed a 3.6 in his car. ![]() ![]()

Looks great! Don't forget to attach the alternator ground wire to one of the top case bolts.

Sharp eyes! Yes...I do plan to install the ground strap.
The pistons are J&E's designed for 9.5:1 CR. They are beauties.
