Chain Cover Nuts Torque
I am replacing my gaskets on the chain covers as well as the oil lines. While I found that the proper torque for the M6 nuts on the covers is 11Nm, I can't find any data on the M8 nuts on the left side.
In fact these 2 larger nuts don't appear in the photo of gaskets and related parts in the Engine Book. They are the same size as the valve cover nuts, but torquing them to 8Nm when the smaller ones are at 11Nm is counter intuitive. So what's "spec"? Thanks!

Steve,
Standard M8 nut gets about 18.5-20 ft/lb (other than valve covers) ![]()
