*Open ended question...OBD2 no workie

We transplanted the 1997 Varioram into the 79SC - using the Patrick Motorsports wiring harness. Hooked up the Porsche diagnostic tool.......and it didn't recognize the car's computer. As if it wasn't connected. We can't figure out what is causing this - ideas?

I have had trouble beofre with a bad connector on my 2000. ODBII has bad connectors, wiggle it some more, to see if it is just a bad connector.

hope it is something that simple for you....

I hope that Patrick can help you out - if you can get ahold of him. I don't know anything about this harness, but, I do know that the "best" 993 motors to transpant are the 1995 ones that don't appear to have these problems...

Hey thanks guys. I'll aslo ask Steve Weiner - perhaps the ECU reflash takes this capability away? I doubt it.
