Pattern wear on cylinders due to boxer configuration?
Theory: I am wondering if the flat boxer configuration can cause greater wear or regular patterns, on the lowest bottom (closest to the ground) cylinder walls.

No. For details read the following thread, but the short answer is that the forces gravity applies to the pistons and cylinders is negligible compared to the operating forces.

The spring loading of the oil ring is nothing thats going to be effected by either sitting overnight or gravity.
