what can i do with 964 bits?
got some 1990 964 bits-crank, rods, pistons, cylinders, heads, cam carriers, twin plug dizzy, inlet plus pipework.
are any of these bits interchangable with the earlier engines? (SC/930 etc) Im building a 930 engine myself so im going to use the 964 cams. I was going to use a Carrera inlet for my efi conversion, could I use the 964 inlet instead? also, what are these bits worth? Thanks blokes Andy |

The guys here sometimes use the 964 distributor to do the twin plug thing.

In fact, I would bet the rods have the 930 part number on them......
My spare set does! Cheers |
Ive got an idea,
build the 3.6 pop that in, remap it to 315bhp save yourself £15k on your fancy early engine and have something that is reliable, goes like stink and doesnt let you down Porsche - there is no substitute (for substituting with a 3.6!) |
Remap? I assume you mean the motronic chip? It takes way more than a new chip to get 315 hp out of a 250hp 3.6. A 315hp 3.6 is an expensive motor to build!
