what can i do with 964 bits?

got some 1990 964 bits-crank, rods, pistons, cylinders, heads, cam carriers, twin plug dizzy, inlet plus pipework.

are any of these bits interchangable with the earlier engines? (SC/930 etc) Im building a 930 engine myself so im going to use the 964 cams. I was going to use a Carrera inlet for my efi conversion, could I use the 964 inlet instead? also, what are these bits worth?

Thanks blokes

Andy

Cool

The guys here sometimes use the 964 distributor to do the twin plug thing.

The rods will also work in a 3.2 or 3.3....

In fact, I would bet the rods have the 930 part number on them......

My spare set does!

Ive got an idea,
build the 3.6 pop that in, remap it to 315bhp
save yourself £15k on your fancy early engine and have something that is reliable, goes like stink and doesnt let you down

Porsche - there is no substitute (for substituting with a 3.6!)

Remap? I assume you mean the motronic chip? It takes way more than a new chip to get 315 hp out of a 250hp 3.6. A 315hp 3.6 is an expensive motor to build!

Cheers
