Just one more question (I think): Should the pockets be re-angled to match the 2.7 valve angles?

As you may know, on RSR head, valve angle was reduced to an included angle of 55°45' with an exhaust angle of 30°15' from vertical and an intake angle of 25°30' from vertical.
I do not yet know the 2.7 valve angles, as I can’t find any references in any books.
That depends on what cams you will use and your current piston-to-valve clearance.

For "S" cams, nothing needs to be done.

I ran across the ad I was refering to in my earlier post. The pistons were available in 90mm and 93mm, but not 92. They were claimed to produce CRs in the 9.5 to 9.8 range with a 70.4mm stroke. The pistons I personally saw were as described in my earlier post, but were not part of the same series of sets, rather intended for twin-plug with pump gas. Sorry to have confused the facts!
