Question Re-bushing rocker arms?

Can the bonze(?) bushes on the rocker arms be pushed out and replaced with new?
I see new bushes are available and at 1/24 the price of a new complete rocker. A fair saving if easy to do?
Any tips?
Pete

Yes they can be replaced. Walt at Competition Engineering offers this as a service. I don't think Pelican sells the bushings.

It's a job that has to be done at a machine shop. EBS does them ,as does DRcamshafts. Dan

Camgrinder, a frequent contributor to this forum, also does this and recently did mine.

John aka camgrinder is one of the few people in the Porsche world who knows what customer service is. Great to deal with

Rockers

This is my recomondation based on what I have done on many 911 engines. I never re-use rockers with any rebuild or high miles. If you have new cams, valve springs, ect. this could help find any weak part of the rocker and break. I have never had an engine come back with a broken new rocker. Everybody has their way of doing things and that is probably quite sufficent also.

Thanks Guys,
As I live on the Isle of Man, I'm not sure if there is anyone near who can do the shop work.
If there's an exchange service on the UK and someone knows about same give me a yell?
Thanks again,
Peter

Replacing the bushing should be the easy part. Correctly resurfacing the pad takes a unique set up. If the person
doing the work is not familiar with Porsche 911's I would
buy new rockers instead.
