Charlie - I'm agreeing with you - the radiused edge of the seal is exposed when installed on the shaft, and is the part of the seal that makes contact with the cam housing (I said rocker arm bushing earlier - my goof).
I guess what confused me from the get-go was the picture in Waynes book, where it appears that the seal is installed on the shaft with the flat side exposed... JB Last edited by jimbauman; 04-08-2005 at 05:04 PM.. |

What the F???? If you can't seal your rocker shafts with this ring on either way you need help. Serious help. The things should seal WITHOUT any extra help, but if they don't with these rings, they are shot, gone, unusable and need reconditioning by a competent Porsche machinist.
