Which oil pump to use

I am rebuilding a 72 T engine for street use. I need an oil pump. Which one is the best choice without breaking the bank? Thanks

Use what is called the 4 bar pump for the 4 ripples on the back of it.
You need to do the oil bypass mod but it's the same pump used through Carrera

As stated by Bruce.

An SC pump will be a swap in and you'll be able to re-use the sump and screen.

Also it's an aluminum pump which is very much an upgrade.

Am bringing a couple to Hershey to sell.

The separate sump screen/venturi is not getting any younger and i've seen them break in the recent past. If I were looking for a pump, i'd get one from a Carrera 3.2 engine since it has the built in screen. The solution to the sump plate is get an aftermarket billet piece like Mainely or Burnham/Supertec

Ollie's keeps Glenn's pump on the shelf on a core exchange basis for people who don't want to wait for Glenn to rebuild their original as well.

I've visited Glenn in his shop and he walked me through his process. Next engine I build or have built will get one for sure.

Agree. Aaron Burnham once told me he could get an early pump to flow almost as well as a turbo pump just by fully relieving the internal breaking edges that interrupt flow. It's actually pretty simple to do yourself if you are handy with a Dremel.
