Sealant on 3.6 cam housing & cylinder?
Some differences between the 964 3.6 and the earlier include the cylinder base gasket is a Viton O-ring instead of the copper o-ring, the chain housing to engine case seal is metal, and the chain housing cover seal is plastic.
My question is, should I use a sealant such as Curit-T or Loctite 574 on these seals to prevent leak? Here is the chain housing and seals. ![]() Here is the cylider and seal. ![]() thanks, anthony |
