Sealant on 3.6 cam housing & cylinder?

Some differences between the 964 3.6 and the earlier include the cylinder base gasket is a Viton O-ring instead of the copper o-ring, the chain housing to engine case seal is metal, and the chain housing cover seal is plastic.

My question is, should I use a sealant such as Curit-T or Loctite 574 on these seals to prevent leak?

Here is the chain housing and seals.

Here is the cylider and seal.

thanks,
anthony

Would the sealant help? Or will it preven the O-rings/seals from working properly?

thanks,
