Leakdown test - Hot vs cold
I performed a leakdown and compression test on my 87 930, 7.5 to 1 RUF 3.4L pistons and cylinders, stock cams. For numerous reasons the engine was stone cold.
Compression: 1 - 153, 2 - 154, 3 - 154, 4 - 151, 5 - 154, 6 - 153. Leakdown: 1, 2, 5, and 6 - 6%. 3 and 4 - 5.5%. I like the numbers as far as consistency ![]() ![]()

I'm guessing they were worse due to heat expansion or something. What were they?

I have not done the hot numbers yet. I was thinking they would be better.
