No Spark After Rebuild

Completed the top end rebuild on the 82 this weekend. Installed engine but no spark. All connections at coil are correct including the ground. I have 12V at the CDI terminal 15. I should be getting a pulse voltage when the engine is cranked between terminals 7 and 31d, which I am not. Based on this, Bentley indicates the pulse generator is likely to be at fault.

I have to think the problem is much simpler than that. I have one lead that is not connected. It's the only one not labeled at teardown so it probably was not used. This is a pic.

Any ideas what to check next?

Thanks.

THat is the green coax trigger wire for the dist. It inserts on the back of the dist to give a signal to the CDI. YOu need to connect it before you will have spark.
