2.7-3.0 engine rebuild
I have a 1974 2.7s cis motor that I am thinking about rebuilding. Im pretty sure that it has had the case studs replaced. Can I put 3.0 pistons and cylinders on a 2.7 case? If not can I use the same cylinder heads and injection system If I upgrade to a 3.0 case.

3.0 cylinders use a different stud spacing and therefore can not be used on a 2.7 case. There are still a few 2.9L P+C sets around for sell if look around but if you want longevity from the motor then 2.8 is the practical limit for your case.
There's no mix and match between the 2.7 and 3.0 motors unless the 3.0 was a turbo motor or a 76/77 Euro Carrera 3.0. (They shared the same crank as the 2.7) The cylinder stud spacing is different however so no mix and match between the heads or cylinders. If you want 3.0 then you should just buy one and swap. The swap is one of the easiest since they both used the same induction. Be sure to get a 3.0 with the dizzy however because the 2.7 dizzy can't be used on a 3.0. Believe it or not. Buying a complete good condition used 3.0 will be cheaper than rebuilding your 2.7
