Will an "E" dizzy work on a "T" engine?
Seems like I have an "E" dizzy in my "T" engine. WHat will be the issues if I use it? I was getting ready to install my dizzy as part of closing up my longblock when I thought I would check the numbers. A fellow P Head ID the dizzy 0231159 006 as an "E" dizzy
![]() ![]() Is the dizzy related to the cam profile? If so How can I tell what cam I have if it is installed in the cam towers? Can I measure the lift of the intake valve and compare that to the spec's out there for each cam? I just finished setting my cam timing to "T" specs and now I might have issues based on my cam and dizzy combo.

Should work fine. If anything, the E distributor will advance the timing a little faster, but the total advance may be less. Once upon a time, I had an S distributor in my T. Keep track of detonation when the engine is hot.
