930 Engine Project Finished
I wanted to say thanks to Wayne and his book for giving me guidance in rebuilding and modifying my 930 motor.
I took a CIS motor that produced 400 rwhp, added some mods, and it now produces over 500 rwhp - with no leaks, rattles, clicking, etc. We did full power dyno runs with 125 miles on the motor and it sounds and runs great. In addition to Wayne, the following people provided me with solid information, parts and machine work: JB Racing, Tavares FL - machine shop EBS - parts, cylinders, pistons Elgin Cams - cams Bell Intercoolers - custom intercooler (10 day lead time!) Clewett Engineering - EFI, and lots of excellent advice and parts Essa Tech, Ft Lauderdale - EFI fine tuning There are a bunch more that I will thank on my web page. The project can be seen here: www.brookstonefarms.com/930.html Rgds Don |

I have been planning on getting my intercooler fabbed by bell as well.
Were you happy with the quality of their work? I am planning on going with a 18 X 12 X 4.5 inch core with the charge flowing from left to right. I will be running a similar sized turbo and some lesser plumbing on a single plug set up so it will be interesting to see how our numbers compare when my low budget project finally reaches comparison. Congradulations and thanks for the info. Last edited by 350HP930; 05-19-2005 at 04:41 PM.. |

I liked Bell's work, their attitude and their delivery. In addition, they called me about 2 months later to follow up on the performance and make sure I was satisfied. Anyway, you get te point...
Good luck |
