Do you guys recommend using a sealer on the gaskets between webbers/insulation plate/inlet manifold? or just fit them dry. What does J.Walker do?

Thanks John. I'm also about to fix leaks on my 912 4 cyl, Going to pull the heads and replace pushrod tube o'rings and head stud seals. What do you recommend regarding new piston rings and a cylinder hone? I've got arias pistons on a cast iron 1720cc kit. Engine is not showing signs of getting tired nor any oil consumption.

I use a thin smear of Silicone vacuum grease (Dow 111). it prevents the seals from sticking and prolongs their life. It also does not flow/melt with heat.

i like goetze rings, but with arias pistons and an overbore, they probably are not available for that application. just try to find a basic cast ring set. no moly or chrome fancy stuff. you will have to measure the thickness of each ring and provide the cylinder bore. a few passes with a brush hone is all you need if the cylinders are new looking still. never hurts to run a dial bore gauge in them, as oversize cylinders are usually thinner wall and tend to get out of round.
