Crank Scoring
Okay, I think I'm just freaking out but I just wanted a little check.
I just pulled my crank. There are a few minor scores. Barely enough to hang a fingernail on. They are only on two journals. 1 rod 1 main, only a single line on each. Crank measures well other than this. Should I be concerned?

I had the same thing on my engine and put it back together with new bearings. No problems 1 year later. If you think about how big the bearing surface is and how small the scratches are you don't really have to worry about it.

HI...
If you are in any way concearned. Have it micro polished. It will save a lot more in the long run. $60.00 VS 6000.00 KO... Good luck

If you feel the scratch with your fingernail, it would be a good idea to have it micropolished. Be careful who you take it to. Good luck.
