Finally bought my 993! I runs great had a clean PPI except a very minor oil leak. Only a few drops overnight. I plan on removing the undertray (and leaving it off) this weekend to look around. Anyone know what the primary leakpoints on a 3.6 are? I knew on my 3.0 SC motor but this one might be different. Thanks in advance!!

The through-bolt o-rings can be problematic, prompting a full top-end rebuild to get to them.
The most typical are the cam cover gaskets, and the o-rings for the oil feed to the cam towers and tensioners. Also the o-ring and seal for the power steering drive. Oh, and the o-ring for the housing on the top of the motor where the thermostat is on earlier engines.

Mine is one of the few dry power steering pumps I've seen.

![]() Hmmm now that I think about it, the "oil' is reddish. I wonder if its steering fluid? Then again I have never had a car with synthetic oil. Does it still smell like oil? Guess I better crawl around this weekend and see what I find. I did notice today the the fluid is dripping off the middle of the rear sway bar if thats any clue. I can't wait to drop that pan and figure this out.
