Cool 993 minor oil leak

Finally bought my 993! I runs great had a clean PPI except a very minor oil leak. Only a few drops overnight. I plan on removing the undertray (and leaving it off) this weekend to look around. Anyone know what the primary leakpoints on a 3.6 are? I knew on my 3.0 SC motor but this one might be different. Thanks in advance!!

The through-bolt o-rings can be problematic, prompting a full top-end rebuild to get to them.

The most typical are the cam cover gaskets, and the o-rings for the oil feed to the cam towers and tensioners. Also the o-ring and seal for the power steering drive.

Oh, and the o-ring for the housing on the top of the motor where the thermostat is on earlier engines.

That's where my leaks are.

Mine is one of the few dry power steering pumps I've seen.

Hmmm now that I think about it, the "oil' is reddish. I wonder if its steering fluid? Then again I have never had a car with synthetic oil. Does it still smell like oil? Guess I better crawl around this weekend and see what I find. I did notice today the the fluid is dripping off the middle of the rear sway bar if thats any clue. I can't wait to drop that pan and figure this out.
