Internal Throttle Body Components - Motronic
In dismantling an old and used 84 carrera manifold assembly, in preparation to convert my 80 SC to EFI, I've self inflicted some grief...
The Motronic carrera throttle body looked to be very dirty in and out, so ' naturally' I disassembled towards cleaning, bead blasting and plating some components. Result: the butterfly valve shaft could be straighter, but more importantly the threads are now gone from one of the two - in the shaft - that hold the flat round butterfly valve itself... So, has ANYONE a schematic with part numbers of the INTERNAL components for this throttle body / housing? The PET part number for the housing is: 930.110.519.03 Which is actually the p/n for the assembly with the 'plug in' components. Of course, it would be best to have a schematic, with part numbers for the INTERNAL mechanical components, as well as the EXTERNAL mechanical components of the throttle body. Anyone? Please? Or - Ideas? thanks! Jim

The reason the threads are gone is because the tiny screws are peened or flatened where they protrude through so as not to work loose or fall out. The shaft is very flimsy along the area where the plate bolts to minimize the cross-section.
Probably best bet would be to find another throttle body housing and start over. Sorry.
