I'd go Motec if it was in my budget and I still might if I increase my budget before I'm done. One concern I have with Motec is the M48 doesn't have enough ignition outputs so you'd have to add an expander. The Autronic SMC has 4 ignition outputs so you could send 3 signals to a CDI and split the 3 CDI outputs to drive 6 waste spark coils. Of course the Motec M600 would solve this problem but it's over a grand more money.

Its only money.

Don,
Are there any well-respected Porsche turbo/EFI tuners in your area? If so, what ECUs do they specialize in? I hope you can get some local support on this. Rob |
Balance Performance - Motec
They tune forced induction Japanese and German cars. |
Electromotive called to say the IAC circuit was bad. Not sure whether to laugh or cry...
They want to do more tests overnight - simulate 8700 rpm using all sensors, injectors, spark, etc.... |
Jump up and down with JOY. Joy to be able to help them fix their bugs. Your labor is FREE! Seems like they must have changed management there.

The system works, kind of....
It now holds idle, but here are the other bugs: > under boost, the coolant sensor is unstable > during decel, the TPS will not show fully closed voltage > MAP sensor is unstable at every RPM point (differs by up to 10 kPa plus or minus) |
Hey Antonio....know of any good Motec units for sale?
Rick |
