This thing never dies.

I believe he sold the car and moved onto greener, less expensive pastures.

Yes the car I was told has gone to Japan. It was fun being a steward of it for awhile. Like a lot of these rare cars, while expense can be an issue, the rub is really trying find replacement parts if you want to drive them. You can spend hours looking and after a time you find it is just not worth it in terms of enjoyment. Just like I used to enjoy racing immensely, but after working on the cars, spending 90+ hours for 90 minutes of racing, it just got old. I still enjoy restoring old cars for the challenge and the process whether it is a 962 or a Jeep CJ, and now am restoring a '68 911L that was in my brother in law's barn for 35 years (after swearing I would never own another Porsche http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat5.gif).
