case studs
Hello,
During disassembly, a few studs came out with their respective nuts. For example, a stud for securing the oil sump plate and one from the timing chain housing came out. What is the proper practice for reinstalling these? Thanks, Brian |
Not a big deal. Just clean the threaded holes out, use a bit of blue loctite and screw the studs back in.

Thanks!

I might add to what Kurt said: In the case of studs that "hang" down from something, let the Loctite set and then clean off (with a squirt of Brake Kleen) the loctite "nose drips" from the exposed stud before you put the nut on.

Good advice Chris. I will probably reinstall the studs in their various engine parts before assembly so they can dry right side up.

does anyone know the part number for the sump plate studs?
