Upon examination of Paternie's Porsche 911 Red Book 1965-1999, it looks as if it would be a RoW Turbo produced from August 1978 to 1979 (a 1979 model). This covers engine serial numbers 6790001-on (930/60). 820 were produced.

T,

Look at the engine type number to the right of the serial number. The choices are:

930/60 ROW
930/61 USA
930/62 Japan
930/63 USA/California
930/64 USA
930/65 Japan
etc.

If it's from an ROW car and it's the original engine for the car, your best bet to figure out what market it was built for would be to look at the details for the car itself.

Hope this helps,
JR
