3.0l pistons?

Yes, all Nikasil cylinders came with forged pistons.

They also had cast pistons in Alusil cylinders.

Are the orginal pistons solid constuction? i'm using a 3,0lsc that is turbocharged. any experiece with how mutch power\ they can handle??

The forged pistons are very strong.
No problem at 400 + hp.

Some 2.7 (90mm), 3.0(95mm) and even 3.2 (95mm)

All three cylinder types [Alusil KS , Silimal and Nikasil Mahle] were used in 2.7s then Alusil and Nikasil were used in 3.0s and 3.2.

What are you really trying to figure out?

Just trying to find out if I have forged piston or cast.....
Have a -80sc from europe. Can I tell them apart whithout disambling the engine? Or do I need the number on the piston??
