How do I get this nut off?
I am in the process of taking off the stock headers and putting on my new B&B headers. This one nut is stripped. I put in the correct hex and it spun with my fingers. The guys who put it on clearly screwed me! I've removed all the others without a problem.

try the next size up? (american or metric) if thats to big you might have to grind it a bit to fit and tap it in

You might try an oxy-acetylene torch, get it red hot then hit the edge with a long cold chisel to break it loose...

The solution: dremel + screwdrive + hammer:
![]() The stud made it through the surgery just fine and my careful use of magnets ensured that no metal fragments fell into the cylinder. |
