And they didn't break either?

i've stopped before it breaks...

You can drill them out using the tool sold by a member here called A Quiet Boom (Christian)> I am in the process of usign that. Alos, you might try a better penetrating oil than WD40. How long were you heating it for? I was able to remove half of my studs using heat and vice grips w/o breaking them.

I just performed this today and also my head studs, I used my Snap On CG500 and collets. Heat was also a key in removing, it was slow and I also used an impact wrench to tighten the collet over the threads before attempting to loosen. I also found it helpful to turn it clockwise a bit then go counter clockwise, back and fourth in slow motions then when it feels loose just remove it. Good luck.

try PB blaster insted of wd40... it works alot better!

Yes of course, I forgot to mention PB Blaster. I did use this several consecutive days before removal but do this in a ventillated area and let them soak overnight.

Best Regards,

Alex
