update
Well its in the car and running how bout that? Ill get you all some pictures at some point. The engine is rather far from its final form though. Some problems were encountered when setting up the Autronic. The shop couldnt figure it out so out came the coilpacks and in went a 993 dizzy and two MSD boxes. Also the M&K muffler that was originally on the motor was beyond loud, sounded like an empty can with two exhaust tips, I mean way beyond streetable. So that and the 993 heat exchangers came off and on went some old school SSi's and a Dansk muffler. Its quiet now.
So there is still an extensive to do list like much hotter cams, bigger heads, refit the 993 he's, modify the M&K muffler, ditch the msd and 993 dizzy and go to coilpacks or coil on plug. That is where we stand guys, its a neverending prooject. My dad and I did wash the car for about 5 hours this past weekend because it was a mess. Wash, clay bar, cleaner wax, more clay bar, wax, vacuum, zymol, leather cleaner, over and over again. Still need to go over the ducktail, rear bumper and inside of the trunk hood again with cleaner wax and clay bar. Cheers |

Ryder, did you run a vacuum line to your fuel pressure regulator or just plug the port in it?
Glad to see you got her running again. I hope to put mine in next weekend. Cheers |
I put a gauge on the FPR so in a sense yes it is blocked. There is vacuum going to the MAP sensor in the SM4 and in a while there will be vacuum line going to the brake booster in the trunk.
Cant wait to see how yours comes out. This coming weekend there will be no working on cars. Im going to be watching the 12 hours of sebring and the F1 opener from Oz. |
Thanks Ryder, I too have a gauge on the FPR, I think we have the same one. I built a vacuum manifold to route the signal to the ecu but was wondering whether or not I needed to plumb the side port of the regulator. I guess I am ok!
Cheers Enjoy the 12hrs! |
