930 Dyno Sheet
Thought this might be of interest to anyone considering modifications. I finished a rebuild on my Euro 930, #5 rod bearing failure, and put it on a dyno(MD-1750) to put some numbers to it since opinions about power output with this or that modification vary considerably. Anyway, all I did was add a K27 and SC cams to the non-cat Euro exhaust and stock IC.
Pull 1 2 Pk HP 294 283 Pk T 296 275 I know stock, this engine was rated at 300 hp and 304 p/f, I assume(hope) this was at the flywheel. Questions: 1) Does anyone have any true measurement of drivetrain loss? Although I guess it really doesn't matter, I know what I have at the wheels. 2) Anyone w/ similar engine for comparison? 3) I later added a B&B IC but I question the efficiency since I had to remove the stock shroud that was diverting a/f through the stock IC. Any thoughts? 4) What are other modifications that would give the most bang for the buck? Pat ![]() ![]()
