chain guide slipper removal
On my 2.4L engine I cannot seem to remove the Right hand side cam chain cover due to the Chain Slider obstructing the chain from being removed.... how does the Chain slider disconnect from the housing?

If chain slider/slipper means the plastic chain ramps they are best removed with a slide hammer with a hook plate tip that pulls against the back of the chain ramp. One can also pry them off if one takes care that the prybar and it's fulcrum do not mar what they are reacting against. Removing chain ramps almost always breaks the retaining clips so plan on replacing any chain ramp you remove.

Mine had a small wire lock underneath. It grabs the bolts. With a small pick, I depressed the spring wire, and they slid right off.
