Why I love these cars
SO the engine in my racecar is pushing 26 years old. It has been in my racecar for 7 seasons of racing, 15-20 events every year.
The rod ends are all within .01mm measured anywhere after this and the main bearings still had the babbit surface on them after 4 seasons of racing... Virtually zero wear. I love it...

Chris, that's .01", not .01mm!
Just kidding, that's great. How are the journals, any lines? A lot of the pictures in Wayne's book illustrate an engine that was run with dirty oil, but I doubt that's the case with yours. How about some high-res closeups of the bearing shells for the record?

Hey Chris
If I recall, your motor is very similar to the one I just built for my RS clone. Another RSR Clone Project - Dyno Day I'd like to think that I can expect the same kind of longevity as you have experienced. A couple of questions about your maintenance practices: 1. Oil change intervals 2. Oil type 3. Any other regular maintenance 4. Rev limit 5. Any other advice I, like John, would be interested in any detailed photos of the teardown if you have the chance to post them.
