Fly-wheel orientation
Examining the fly-wheel of my 2.0, I notice a Z1 mark. The shop manual does not make reference to it. I'm imagining that it orients itself the same as the Z1 mark on the pulley. Can someone tell me if this is correct, and if not, what the correct orientation is? Thank you!

If there is a Z1 mark on the flywheel that means it is a 914-6 flywheel.
Porsche flywheels bolts are off set so it will only go on 1 way. You can't make a mistake.

Appreciate the reply Henry, but what about the orientation?

I'm missing something. The flywheel will only go on one way. The bolt patern is not symetrical.
Put the flywheel on the crank and turn it until the bolt holes line up.

OK, got it! Jesus, a little slow on this end. I got lucky when I set-up the crank to do the rods. Bolted right up first try. Thanks Henry! FNG's I'm sure, can be difficult.
