Need help measuring connecting rods

I'm trying to mic the big end width of some 2.0 rods. Looking in Wayne's rebuild book it has the spec for "Rod Width at Big End" with a spec of 21.7-21.8 Right below that notation in smaller print it has a spec for "Rod Width at Crankshaft with bearing" 22.0-22.10 What am I missing here? Are they not the same point of measurement? Thanks
