Advise for 3.0L 1978 911 SC rebuild
Hi All,
I am need of someone to build my 3.0L 1978 911 SC motor. I have a friend who was going to do it but with family and his business it is close to impossible. I have waited for nearly 2 years. He was going to do it for $2000 just in labor. I know that is an awesome deal and I know I'll be paying more but thats OK. Does anyone have any recommendations of whom I can go to. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area . I have all the parts. Pistons and cylinders, bearings, chains and tensioners, etc.... The case is already split and everything has been removed. The only thing left are the heads need to be done and to find someone that can put it together. Your help and suggestions are greatly appreciated. |

I am in the process of planning to rebuild my 82 SC in a few months, I got waynes book and it looks pretty straight forward. You may want to attempt putting it together on your own following waynes book. If not Tony at Heyer Performance in Mountain View would be a good guy to get your engine put back together. If you decide to rebuild on your own let me know and I would be happy to help you in the rebuild.
Good Luck. Dave |
