Question Single Battery Conversion

Ummmm i would like to convert my 1969 911E to a single battery. I'm hoping that it is as easy as just not putting one battery in. Im guessing it isn't that easy.

PS does anyone use Optima Batteries? are they any better/worth the extra money?

Hey there! I am converting my car back to dual batteries. I could hook you up with the goodies to get your car converted to run a single gel cell battery in smugglers box in the next two weeks or so. THat's about how long it should take me to get my car coverted back.

Because my battery died and I prefer originality. That is pretty much the only reason. The previous owner converted the car to single battery.

I'd be willing to trade the parts straight up if you are interested.

You pull the wiring from the dual batteries (positive negative leads) and swap them with a single lead kit. I can take some photos tonight to show you what the single set up looks like.

Here's the thread I started yesterday on the Early S board:

http://www.early911sregistry.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10999

It will have some good info for you to look at, too.
