lime green o-ring...where did it come from? I'm finishing up a project to fix a broken head stud and I have this green o ring left over that was not replaced as part of my V Reinz head set. Where did it come from? It looks like one of the rings on the oil pump as pictured in waynes books, but I DID NOT SPLIT THE CASE... so how could that be? dimensions are OD 34mm ID 25.75 mm wall height 5.88 mm wall thickness 4.8mm |

Engine oil cooler. There are two green o-rings near the top and a red one near the bottom. |

I have large green oh rings on my 4 oil return tubes |
|
this one is somewhat larger than the oil cooler rings (even the big one) and has a square shoulder shape...so it's not from the return tubes Is there an o ring like this associated with the Clutch? AND God Forbid, Is there any concievable way one of those oil pump o rings could get out without splitting the case? |

I seem to remember having a couple of those around after my last 2 rebuilds. I don't know what they're for but I didn't seem to need them and there is no way that one could come out of the case. -Andy |

Perhaps the clutch slave cylinder has a seal similar to a brake caliper seal? (I've never torn one down) I don't think that would come in a top-end set... |

Virtually impossible for the oil pump seals to escape... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1153195534.jpg |

It might be the one for the distributor. |

 Throttle body o-ring? |
|
I thought the dizzy o-ring was somewhat oval... However as mentioned, your oil-pump orings can't escape if you didn't split the case... |

The TB gasket is the big one on the left http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1153244082.jpg |
