Does anyone know where this goes!

I have just completed reassembling my 1983SC engine and am naving trouble locating a spot for this part. It obviously is a holder for the engine and oil tank breather hoses but I cant find a pot for it to attach to the engine or chassis. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of that side of the motor. There isn't any scratch marks on any of the holes where a bolt would normally break the paint when tightened. I'm stumped.

Any suggestions. Apicture would be a great help. Thanks in advance

Greg, it mounts on the engine at the back right of the compartment. It is oriented with the 2 loops hanging over and away from the engine. There are 2 hoses that run through the bracket holes - I could tell 1 was the oil vent tube, couldn't tell where the other came/went.

Mark,

Thanks for your reply, just to clarify what you are saying. If I am looking into the engine bay can i see the two holes facing me like a figure 8 or is the figure 8 facing the side of the car? is the 8 on it's side like oo ?
If you could post a picture that would be a big help.

Greg

Hi Greg

Here are some pics of my 82 I am in process with. Here you can see that it looks like it mounts to the air box on the left hand side just behind the round gold disc. See the black tab with the 2 holes? that should match up with your piece The double ring should then go up and toward the front of the car. One hose to the oil vent and looks like the other to the air box:

Here you can see a close up of the tab I am referencing. If you need a better pic I can get one this eveing. this was all I had on hand

Best Regards,

-Michael
