66' re-born
I would like to thank all who offered help and advice on this project. Henry Schmidt & John Dougherty, "Thank you for the great parts." My 66' is alive and well. I don't know how it would have felt, power-wise, with the original motor. I never had the chance to drive it before re-building. While it still has the original motor, there are a few small changes inside. It's a blast!

Congratulations!
It always feels good when a project works out as good or better than you planned.

Very exciting! Can't tell you how hard it was to actually hook-up the coil, after building oil preasure. While I've re-built a few motors, never a Porsche, and never one that evoked this much anxiety. After about 25 miles it's pretty clear there's more work left to get it in good shape. Drive-line seems great, but it's time to focus on the suspension. Henry, thanks again! What a thrill.

That's a beautiful very early 911 - feel free to post as many pics as you like! Can't get enough SWB/Al case goodness.
