Sheet metal baffle installation
Hi all,
My cylinder head sheet metal baffles are still at the powder coaters. I want to install my heads and cam housings and oil return tubes now. Can I install the cylinder head cooling baffles later? I am thinking I probably can, but, I'm just making sure. Thanks, Michel |

No, you can't install the baffles between the cylinders after the heads and oil return tubes are in place. You'll need to wait for the parts. Do you have Wayne's 911 engine rebuilding book (see above)? The information therein can save you from making time consuming and/or expensive mistakes.

You are right. I had a look in Wayne's book. Don't know why I didn't do that first. Thanks Michel

Expandable oil return tubes will allow you to install the air baffles after to heads are installed.
There are many top quality expandable tubes available but also quite a few low quality ones. I would recommend the factory expandables.
