Any one used venolia Pistons (like JE)

Any one heard of this company what are their pistons and rods like? How do they compare with JE?

Noisy, noisy, noisy.

I don't think their Porsche designs are in the same league as JE.

The only rods we will use are either Pauter or Carrillo. Arrow's are OK too, but expensive here in the US.

I have no experience with Venolia but if they haven't spent a great deal of time in the development of a Porsche specific piston then I would pass.

I have been using JE pistons for nearly 20 years and their (JE) first attempts were hideous. .007 " clearance and heavy.
Years of development based in trial and error has put JE in a place where there product can be used with confidence.

They can be run at as little a .0015 " and the forging compare with the best, all be it, still a little heavy. 30+ grams more than a Mahle.

This is probably due to the material density of the JE.

I Used them in my first ever 911 rebuild more than 25 years ago..

I bored a 2.2 up to almost 2.4l and had a set of Venolia pistons made (rather the machinist sourced them)

I dont recal much about them other than the engine ran great, That first rebuild was the start down a long slippery slope

I've used Venolia for domestic high compression engines, years ago. I recall they were very nice units. I can not vouch for the Porsche applications.
