Clutch helper spring hits S.S.I
 
I am installing backdated SSI heat exchangers on a 79 SC, and the clutch helper spring is rubbing on the edge of the heat exchanger. Any fixes? should I bend the edge lip of the heat exchanger down to clear the spring? Any ideas?
