Broken Plug, Engine Harness, Distributor

1981 SC. I dropped my engine and took off the wiring and shroud yesterday. One plug is sort of broken. It goes into the distributor and then is screwed down. The male adapter is surrounded by plastic. Now the plastic is fractured all over the place. The plastic is very thin. Any suggestions? The entire wiring harness feels a little stiff, but all but this connector escaped damage. Any suggestions?

Also, if you have time please see my post on the 911 forum about Longblock Mount and Engine Mess. I posted some questions that really has me stumped. Thanks in advance!

i recently priced one at the local dealer. about $90. then you have to cut it and add a couple of plugs to attach it to the engine harness. make sure the wires are not swapped.

Thanks gents! Mike, a S/H one from you sounds better than 90$ from the dealer, even if I have to mail it here from the UK. I will gladly pay you what you need. I will PM you my info. Thank you.

Hi Mike,

That's great. Please PM me how you would like me to pay you.

I really appreciate this!

Instead of cutting the old harness and adding a plug we just replace the entire wire. With a 928 distributor lead you can replace the wire from the dist all the way to the CD.
New fresh wire and easy to do.
I'll try to post the part # for those who want a truly nice repair.
