930 intercooler upgrade questions

Looking at upgrading to a bigger/efficient intercooler and wanted some of the opinions of the Pelican members that have gone here already:

1) Concerning intercoolers, What are the differences between a long neck and short neck cooler?
2) What are the issues with Kokeln intercoolers that I had heard were requiring some modifications to install, not a direct drop in?
3) Do I need to install a blow off valve (BOV) to replace the factory unit with the intercooler upgrades? What is the benefit of the stock BOV versus aftermarket, or is there none?
4) Anyone with an intercooler from "BLOWNSIXDESIGN"?
How does it fit or install with little trouble? Quality of design and construction?

I can answer one of your questions ... there were no "issues" in our using Kokeln intercooler on my 930.

There are a few of the Blown Six intercoolers on Pelican cars. I have some pics from the prototyping of them and they look to be of good quality. I think Craig911 has one of them on his car.

Cheers

BlowSixDesign is building me a custom full bay 930 intercooler for my Carrera, as we speak. It's been "in the making" for the past 5 weeks now, since this is the first prototype one they're making for such an application, but I'm hoping it'll be in my hot little hands next week, ready for my GT35R B.B & GSF header install
