Question Does Anyone Know This Engine Builder - Devito?

I am considering buying an early 911 with an engine built by a person or company named Devito. I am told he is a well-known and well respected 911 engine builder in California. Can anyone give me any information on this engine builder? Does anyone have experience with him? I just want to be 100% informed before I pull the trigger on the car.

Thanks.

What part of California? I'm in the SF bay area and I haven't heard of him. Not that that necessarily means anything.

Did a quick search in Google and came up with Devito's Porsche Service in Orange, CA, listed on a Porsche 928 site.

Hey, thanks for the info. I wonder if that is the shop. I will have to give them a call.

Jeff is the owner of Devito's Porsche Service.
It was Paul's Porsche service 20 years ago. Jeff bought the business from Paul Bernardo and has been in the same location all this time. I know him better as a customer than a mechanic but I am also located in So. Cal. and I have never heard anything negative about their work. He seems like a honest, straight forward guy.

DeVito's Porsche Service Mechanic: Jeff DeVito 1059 N. Parker Orange, CA 92867 (714) 997-0661.

Thank you very much Henry. I will definitely give him a call after I take a look at the car. It is an 69 E RGruppe car for which he built the engine I am told.

My brother uses him for service on his 964 and has been very happy with his work. He is in Orange County, CA. I am told by my brother that I would like him, so that tells me he is more car-guy and less business.

If that is the case, I would give him a quick call and ask him what he remembers (if anything) about the car you are looking at.
