thank you cnavarro for the great support. But has nobody allready has some field experience oversizing cast cylinders to 92 mm. I ask a machine shop for oversizing my cylinders to 92 mm + honing them. 300 $ Then I could also get a set of 92 mm coated pistons with rings for $ 250. The pistons are from a Moto Guzzi California, Daytona 1100 sport application, air cooled 2 valve. RPM more than 6500 U/min ![]() Here a picture from the bike. ![]() ![]() |

Boring 90 mm cylinders to 92 is generally a bad idea. The 90 mm cylinders have a CE ring (read head gasket) that leave very little cylinder wall thickness when bored to 92 mm.
The pistons you show are interesting but aren't the valve pockets in the wrong place?
