Really, get a sense of humor people and learn to appreciate that not suffering fools gladly is no crime - indeed it is what makes things happen and go right in the (Porsche) world. Henry has been very helpful to me and other board members, he shares very well indeed. He also commits random acts of kindness, I was sent a set of head washers and case o-rings from Henry and he refused to accept any payment for them! I am normally a Pelican customer, had never patronized Supertec before...

IMHO this is a rare person that should be encouraged, not discouraged.

Bring Henry back.

Henry gave me the inspiration I needed to build my 2.5 MFI.
Thank You Henry.

n+1 on the Henry Reinstate

Otherwise, the signal-to-noise ratio here goes to *****.

Henry has my permission to post a picture of me with my head in the wrong place if that is where it truly is.
If Henry is just refraining from posting I understand. If banned, or suspended it is just wrong.
I don't post a lot but have been garnering a lot of info from these boards even long before I became a member. Henry's info is usually spot on and informative. Maybe I just get his sense of humor and others don't. What I do see is Henry normally doesn't fire the first shot and doesn't show animosity even when slammed.
I hate the current social trend where you are not allowed to call a "duck" a "duck" but have to dance around the facts with some pre- approved absurd PC terminology.
An idiot is still an idiot in my book. I just have to call them intellectually challenged when I'm in public.

Exactly

I wonder where the whiners are now. They have the nerve to complain in secret but don't have the stones to post their grievance.

Envy, jealously and big fish in a small pond syndrome. To make yourself important get rid of the people that expose your inadequacies.

Wanye, it's time for you to do the right thing. Lift the suspension for the good of your forum.

safe 11-22-2006 11:24 AM

Yeah, back with Henry. I love his posts!

I guess we now know what happens to snowballs when heat is applied....

dfink 11-22-2006 11:41 AM

I don't think he is banned from the site. Do a search he has posts listed from today.

dfink 11-22-2006 11:55 AM

Sorry I guess last post was 11-14

Way to go Mark!

Anyone else need a pitchfork?

You have NO idea that snowman was involved. That is speculation on your part and uncalled for.

He (snowman) did gracefully accept the balloon-engine picture ribbing, better than most of us I would suspect.

If Henry was sent to time out, that is unfortunate as he is quite knowegeable. However until the details surface it is really bad form to launch what might be inuendo.

It's entirely possible that I don't have all the facts. But what I've seen time and again is seemingly arbitrary use of "punishment" on these boards. Yes, I know it's not a democracy here. I just hate the constant reminder of same.

For all I know, Henry slipped on a banana peel and has been incapacitated since his last post. If so, get well soon, Henry. Don't let the wankers (whomever they may be) get ya down.

and another thread circles the drain...

Mysterytrain 11-22-2006 12:57 PM

I thought the normal proceedure was to close the thread? I have spoken to Henry a few times on the phone. He was more then willing to share a wealth of knowledge and offer up some free advice. I sensed that under that 'diamond in the rough' persona lurks a real sensitive guy..I'm betting there are just some hard feelings rather then a double secret probation.
There are some here that delight in publicly calling the other guy out, which is really a shame. We all have different areas of expertise..save the f**king competition for the track.

man and it started out as a question not to offend:confused:

nabilious 11-22-2006 02:53 PM

A crying shame if this is true. Sometimes Henry gets a bad rap because he calls them like he sees them, right or wrong (99.998% of the time he is correct). Free Henry.

I get the distinct feeling that the 'ban' is more rumor than anything else, and that Henry is either reading this and rolling his eyes, or is nowhere near his computer and instead doing something far more productive altogether.

Henry, if you are reading this, Happy Thanksgiving.

iamchappy 11-23-2006 06:04 AM

What about free speech, WTF, what did Henry do that was so reprehensible that he should be banned from the forum.
Stupidest thing I have ever heard.

Henry, A BIG thanks for all the help..

Chap

If it is true, it's unfortunate. I've seen several knowledgeable and helpful folks leave the forums more often on their own after being harassed or criticized for their opinions or advice. Pete Albrecht, Bruce Anderson come to mind, but there have been others. Heck, even "sandman" only means to help and in many ways he has.

Henry, hope you're still out there and will join us again.

Happy Thanksgiving to all !

Not a rumor.... I spoke to Henry last week and he mentioned that Wayne banned him from posting.

PPilot 11-23-2006 09:19 AM

I encourage all to support Henry, and all others that make this forum so rich by their participation... I know Wayne will hear us all...and understands... Both Wayne and Henry are strong enough to work past this forthe greater good of all of us.... I appreciate everybody, even the jerks and whiners that seem to need the attention...I still learn a lot and enjoy the interplay of personalities!!! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas !!!! Gordon

This was and is a private business matter, but since you guys have responded repeatedly here without knowing the facts, I will post them in another thread:

Indeed, the quality of the content that you have posted has never been in question, at least by me.

This thread has run it's course, I am closing it now...
