where did henry go??
I have noticed we have been losing some of the real knowledgable people on this forum. I always enjoy reading the real world experiences building these 911 engines and I see he has disappeared. what happened??

I have just learned that some of you (whiners) have emailed Wayne with complaints about Henry. As a result Wayne has suspended his posting privilege. No one can blame Wayne, I wouldn't want to deal with the whining either. I also know that not one of you had the balls to email Henry direct with any grievance. You should be embarrassed. Henry has spent the better part of two years contributing his knowledge (based on 30 years of engine building) just so we would have a better understanding these early Porsche engines . Some of your complaints are base on his humor. I've read that some of you say "I don't come here for humor". Well, lighten up. You are not going to save the world one Porsche engine at a time. I always appreciate humor and Henry's has made coming to this board a delight. The world is full of whiners and it's too bad we have to be subjected to them. That's all I have accept to say we're better off with Henry's wisdom than without. We're better off without the whiners than with. |

Henry has personality, no doubt. More importantly, he contributes a ton of excellent information to this board. His contribution is great, too, since it is rarely speculation that he offers, but real world experience and knowledge.
I hope his suspension is temporary and that he doesn't take it personally. Pelican would be the loser if Henry does not return. Doug

I have spoken to him previous on the phone and in person and found that he was very helpfull in my initial build plans.

Wayne, while we can all understand the reason for your action, I
hope you will reconsider this decision. Mr. Henry Schmidt has contributed more sound advise and wisdom on this forum than all the complainers could ever have done combined. Add my name to the list of other members urging the immediate recall of Henry Schmidt. James Pate |
