check this turkey out!

I just finished my engine for the rsr project. well, sort of - that whole part about installing it and getting it to run has not been done yet but it is assembled. i should be getting the body back from the body shop in 2-3 weeks so i can start putting the whole thing back together.
some stats:
3.2 short stroke, mahle 98mm pistons/cylinders 9.8:1 CR
twin plugged heads, ported, titanium retainers, ss valves and high perf springs.
DC 62 108 deg. cams from camgrinder
arp studs and rod bolts
case is shuffle pinned and boat tailed, turbo oil squirters.
all machine work done by Ollie's - nice guys!
carrera pump, rsr flywheel and aluminum pressure plate
megasquirt fuel injection w/ twm throttle bodies (46mm) - from motomotions
stainless 1 5/8 headers and a modified stock muffler.
most importantly - Wayne's rebuilding book!

I'm thinking 280 crank hp and 7500 rpm redline - what do you guys think?

the trans is a 72 mag case with 7:31, stock ratios. wevo gate shift, GT TB diff and later aluminum side cover.

that, is a great looking engine!!!!

i'd think with that cam you'd be looking at more then ~85hp/L.... i'd be surprised not to see 250 rwhp...which is like ...287....hmmm ya i like to prove myself wrong..

anyways, i wish mine looked as nice as yours (i hate my shroud...wanted that one or the cf one...)

nice choices, sounds like it'll be a blast, don't forget to tell us about the rest of your car!!

Porsche Crest

A nice track mod for a 7/31 stock ratio tranny is to swap in the shorter 4th and 5th from a later 8/31 box. Some think it drones a bit cruising the Interstates, though I haven't minded when using that box.

But no doubt your box is all together.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the source for that nice natural shroud.
Absolutely beautiful can't wait to see it all together.

hi art,
I originally bought a shroud from rennspeed but it was a little greenish in color - not amber. i then found the tins in the amber fg on ebay. the guy that was auctioning the tins offered to make the shroud and misc parts also. i can't reccomend him because it took months to get the parts and the fit was not great. i had to do a lot of trimming and sdjusting to get everything to fit. it was reasonable price wise but i woulod have been better off getting the parts form damon (series900) or GT racing.
